05.06.-21.07.1989 olin I.A.E.S.T.E. (the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience)- harjoittelijana C.E.R.:n tehtaalla Oyonnax'ssa, Ranskassa. Tein siellä mm. koneenpiirustusta, piirikorttien testausta, kaapelointia ja kokeilin myös ohjelmoitavan logiikan käyttöä.
