Chandra Man Tamang, the Head of the Elephant Breeding Centre of Bardia (on the ground) and elephant handler Rajbir Chaudhary from Chitwan are training a young male elephant during a WEPA workshop by using the Positive Learning Method. The method is a science-based, animal-friendly way of training elephants. In addition to improving elephant well-being, the method also results in faster learning and improved reliability of the elephant, as well as an increase in the work safety and work satisfaction of staff.
